DNA is the project for life, it is a complex molecule that is found in every cell of our body and contains all the instructions necessary to create and maintain life.

DNA is a supercooled double helix of 4 molecules, Adenine, Thymine, Guanine and Cytosine that bind each other precisely: A with T and G with C, the entire sequence of these molecules constitutes the code of life, that is our genome.

A single DNA molecule contains about 6 billion AT, CG, if turned it has a length of about 2 meters.

DNA is not free in our cells but packed into chromosomes. The man has 46 chromosomes, half inherited from the mother and half from the father.

DNA sequences called genes are located on chromosomes, each of us has about 40,000 genes, more than half of them contain instructions for creating proteins, and these are the proteins that determine everything from eye color to susceptibility to the disease.
